The Government of Pernambuco, through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult-PE) and the Foundation for the Historical and Artistic Heritage of Pernambuco, announces, this Friday (29), the result of the Pernambuco Photography Award 2019. In all, the award which is in its ninth edition received a total of 117 entries and more than 426 photos.

Exhibition brings together fragments of everyday life, captured by the lens of ten photographers

In this proposal for diversity, “ANTROPOLÉTRICO em: Lentes” brings together artists from São Paulo, Joinville, Caxias do Sul and Rio de Janeiro. They are: Carol Melo, Maicon Damasceno, Paulo Pêpe, Paulo Pretz, Ramon Munhoz, Rayza Roveda and Wéllington Damin. Art, throughout history, even in contemporary times, expresses an author's view of himself and the other. This collective exhibition consists of a multiplicity of techniques within professionals who work with photography.

The restless Carol Melo inherited her gypsy soul from her parents; The 26-year-old from Rio de Janeiro got used to not having a permanent address: she was born in Rio, then lived in Recife (PE), returned to Rio, moved to Olinda (PE), went to Caxias do Sul (RS) to study photography, and so on. She currently lives in Lençóis, in Chapada Diamantina (BA).
